A Message from Bishop Carrie Schofield-Broadbent

From the mountains of western Maryland, to the pastures of Harford County; to the south, along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries; and in Charm City and beyond, I am deeply enjoying getting to know you. Just yesterday, I heard myself tell a friend that the Diocese of Maryland is already home to me. I am so grateful for that and would love to hear more from you and learn more about our diocese. I’m asking for the gift of your time and your stories.

Please join me to continue our conversations in a series of listening sessions to deepen existing relationships and build new ones as we begin the next chapter of life and ministry in the Diocese of Maryland, together.

I’m eager to listen to clergy and laity throughout our diocese. If we’ve already had conversations – please come! I’d love to hear more. If we haven’t met yet – please come! I’m interested in you, your parish, and your experience with the broader diocese.

Meetings will be held in a variety of locations throughout the Diocese in January 2024. There will also be opportunities to meet online for those who prefer to gather virtually. Please be sure to invite your church friends and diocesan neighbors. Everyone is welcome.
