THE CROZIER SOCIETY OF THE BISHOP OF MARYLAND

The Crozier Society of the Diocese of Maryland honors those who have made generous annual gifts to the ministries of the Bishop’s Appeal.

Dear People of the Diocese of Maryland,

Each year the Bishop’s Annual Appeal has offered hope and support to many of our brothers and sisters through its ministries. Despite the pandemic’s impact on our world, we have seen hope come alive due to your generosity, kindness and sacrifice. Thank you so very much!

With your help, we witnessed this hope this past year through:

  • Our Latino ministry serving food to hundreds of people every week in their community;
  • Our Johns Hopkins chaplain tending to individuals and families ravaged by COVID-19;
  • Our Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center providing care packages and aid to seafarers bringing vital goods through Baltimore’s harbor, making sure these essential workers are not forgotten;
  • Our volunteers at the Episcopal Refugee and Immigrant Center Alliance coming together, across faiths to bring community and care to the refugees and immigrants seeking asylum from war and hatred;
  • Our Claggett Center, where housing was made available to frontline workers;
  • Our Youth Ministry and Sutton Scholars program, bringing community and joy to youth who have been isolated and struggling during these unprecedented times in their lives.

So, my sincere thanks to all of you who live your faith by turning hope and love into reality.

You can find a thorough description of each ministry supported by this year’s appeal by clicking on the links below. We hope this will demonstrate how we are helping to improve the lives of those we serve.

Through the Bishop’s Annual Appeal, we help people throughout our Diocese feel connected; our ministries offer hope and bring new life. Together we have a chance to make a difference in the mission field of our own backyards. Won’t you join this effort to increase the love and compassion of the Episcopal Church in Maryland by making a personal gift? Thank you for your prayerful consideration.

The Right Rev. Eugene Taylor Sutton
Bishop of Maryland
