DIOCESAN INVESTMENT FUND

The Diocesan Investment Fund, or DIF, is an investment program for churches and other organizations in the Diocese of Maryland that elect to invest their endowment and other long-term assets alongside the Diocese. The purpose of the DIF is to provide professional investment management at reduced fees made possible by investing together. The DIF is invested with State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), a leading institutional asset manager and custodian, through the Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF), an independent nonprofit serving only Episcopal organizations. The Diocesan Investment Committee oversees the DIF, including its investment strategy and investment manager.

Any church or organization in the Diocese of Maryland may invest in the DIF. All participants receive detailed reporting for their own accounts. Participating churches also receive guidance on endowment creation and growth. Please look through the additional materials provided here and contact us if you would like to learn more.

STOCK GIFTS

The DIF also allows individuals to donate shares of stock or mutual funds to the Diocese or to individual churches. Gifts of stock are sold and proceeds distributed to the church. Click the button below to begin the process of donating stock and a representative of the Episcopal Church Foundation will reach out to you to confirm that the gift can be accepted.
